About Me

I am a Vancouver-based creative director, photographer, cinematographer and biologist with 20 years of experience producing content for clients in the sciences, policy and entrepreneurship across the globe.

What Can I Do For You?

My goal is to produce media for you, be it video, audio or photos, that will be authentic and backed by genuine expertise. There are plenty of talented and capable videographers and photographers in the field today; I combined my background in science, health, policy and advocacy into a production company that can offer knowledge and relevance to the stories I produce at every step of the process. I often collaborate with other creative and production professionals to bring my clients exactly what they need.

My goals are to…

01.

Convey authenticity. Content is at its best when it is truthful and heartfelt.

02.

Showcase knowledge. Every story is an opportunity to challenge and educate our audience.

03.

Be respectful and kind. Anyone appearing on camera is deserving of the utmost respect.

04.

Give back. Every working relationship is an opportunity to improve ourselves and others.

My Background

My formal education is in the sciences; I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Zoology with a minor focus on Anthropology, I have a diploma in health sciences and I spent 6 years working seasonally as a fisheries biologist in Alaska.

During that time I also took contracts working in the world of the arts and event production thanks to contracts with the Montreal Fringe Festival and Just For Laughs in my hometown of Montreal. Balancing these disparate worlds I grew most fond of story telling and drawing connections between artists, scientists, creatives and activists.

I began collecting stories with camera equipment I bought to show off Alaska and the Aleutian Islands and found myself most at home “behind the lens”. I began taking a variety of creative contracts and even found myself working federal and provincial elections across Canada.

In 2014 I found myself at a turning point while embedded with a group of Forensic Anthropologists in Guatemala. After years being known as a “photographer” and “filmmaker” I realized that my love of the sciences could no longer take a back seat to my creative side.

I began focusing on bringing my unique history with the science, creative arts and event production all together and focus on projects that could lean into all aspects of my experience.
